ABSTRACT
Thirty patients with chronic renal failure under regular hemodialysis [bicarbonate] were randomly selected for this study. Examination included full clinical assessment, routine laboratory investigations, determination of serum parathyroid hormone and echocardiographic studies. Patients were divided according to their semen phosphorus levels into two groups. Patients in group one had serum phosphorus levels less than 6 mg/D1, while patients in group two had higher levels. Hyperphosphatemia was common and accounted for 36.6% of the studied samples according to this classification. Hyperphosphatemic group was characterized by significantly higher calcium x phosphorus product and mathematically lower calcium levels
